Not only was the purpose of this game to learn some Twine functionalities and to practice interactive storytelling; but, I also wanted to create an experience that many people can relate to, the thrill of being rushed. In my game, Aster, the protagonist, wakes up after sleeping past a couple of alarms, and he's rushing to get to school. There's a timer on the screen that counts down the time left until school starts, and there are a plethora of pathways you can choose from to either lessen or save your time while making your way to school. This was meant to represent how similarly in real life, you can become sidetracked with small tasks on your way to a meeting, rehearsal, etc. Because it's an interactive story, you have to make the decisions for Aster. There are even parts in the game where Aster is tasked with finding some belongings that he lost, and it's your job to search around the screen to find them.  Overall, I hope to immerse the player in a story full of thrill and tension through means of running late to school.
